Vestibular disorders

Vestibular disorders - balance lost!

Vestibular disorders or vertigo are a display of one's disorientation in space.

Vertigo is mostly accompanied by "vegetative" accompanying symptoms, such as nausea, sometimes vomiting and heart palpitations. Under special circumstances this can happen to perfectly healthy people (seasickness, travel sickness, height vertigo). In most cases though the dizziness - similar to pain - is an alarm signal for a disorder that requires clarification. Luckily, most forms of vertigo are benign and can be treated successfully.

Our vestibular lab possesses state-of-the-art research methods to ascertain the causes of the vertigo and then be able to treat them accordingly.
